STAFF from an East Yorkshire dental firm have raised more than £1,500 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Dentists and dental nurses from East Yorkshire Dental Studios (EYDS) took part in a 13-mile charity hike around Beverley and the surrounding area.
Around 20 members of staff volunteered to join in after dental nurse Louise Bean organised the event in memory of two close relatives who lost their lives to cancer.
Louise, 24, has now raised around £4,000 for the Yorkshire cancer charity through a variety of fundraising events.
Staff from all three branches of EYDS took part, including Edward House, Brough Dental Studio, and Hedon Dental Practice.
The dental practice’s principal dentist Jason Spence is currently growing a moustache for Movember, raising money and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer charities. Anyone who would like to sponsor him can log on to www.justgiving.com/jasonspence
